A Beary Helpful Tip to Camping

"His gear seemed exceedingly minimal for the harsh conditions of the interior, which in April still lay buried under the winter snowpack. Alex's cheap leather hiking boots were neither waterproof nor well insulated. His rifle was only .22 caliber, a bore too small to rely on... He had no ax, no bug dope, no snowshoes, no compass." Travel Advice

The Great Outdoors is a dangerous place to be, almost unbearable to most city folk. But anyone can survive the outdoors, as long as you are prepared. First off you'll need a good amount of perishables to eat in case you didn't get anything from hunting, or just to eat if you do not plan plan on hunting. But if you do go hunting, it would be a very smart thing to bring along a strong rifle, enough to kill a moose or other creatures you come upon. It could also be used to fight off bears if you do happen on them. Next would be your attire, it gets cold in the northern regions of North America so you want to make sure you wear some thick jackets and good boots to stay dry and warm. It would be a bad thing to freeze to death out in the cold wilds, and I doubt your family could bear your death. There are other things that you would need to survive, such as an ax to cut yourself some firewood, and a compass so you can always find a way home. Though learning constellations can also be helpful. Thanks for reading, and stay beary safe guys!
